Howard Estate Association of Residents and Tenants (H.E.A.R.T.)

H.E.A.R.T. - A Fundamental Part of Being a Ward Councillor for St Olaves Ward...

Since first being elected to represent the people of St Olaves Ward as Suffolk County Councillor for Tower Division in 2005, it has been a fundamental part of my role to attend the monthly meeting of the Howard Estate Association of Residents and Tenants (H.E.A.R.T.). Not all ward councillors agree, and many of them, especially the current Suffolk County Councillors for Tower Division, rarely if ever attend. On many occasions, I am the only elected member there, and I try to do my best to deal with the issues raised.

H.E.A.R.T. is the democratically elected residents association for the Howard Estate. It is there run by the people, for the people. Anyone who lives on the estate can attend to discuss any issues concerning them. There is also normally a Havebury Officer, a West Suffolk Council Locality Officer and occasionally a Police Officer in attendance.

So When and Where Does H.E.A.R.T. Meet?

H.E.A.R.T. meets every 3rd Monday of the month (except August) in the Newbury Community Centre on St Olaves Road at 7pm for 7:15pm start. Getting there at 7pm allows people to mingle and chat to each other.

My Monthly Reports

Every month, I give a report on what is happening locally, either on the ward or on each of the councils. Over the years I have lost some of these reports from my PC, but the ones I have located, I have placed below for you to download and see what I have been doing on your behalf. They are in .PDF format. Just click on the .PDF image OR the meeting date to download the report.
