Elections from May 1999 to the Present Day...

Next Election

In Bury St Edmunds, local town and district elections are held every 4 years with the last elections being held in May 2019. So the next scheduled Bury St Edmunds Town Council and West Suffolk Council elections will be held in May 2023, unless there are by-elections. By-elections are held when a council seat becomes vacant between scheduled elections.

Suffolk County Council elections are also held every 4 years with the last elections being held in May 2017. So the next scheduled Suffolk County Council elections will be held on Thursday May 6th, 2021.

"The reason I have been elected on so many occasions to represent the people of Bury St. Edmunds, St Edmundsbury, West Suffolk and Suffolk, is because I have stood for election so many times and lost. The secret is to never give up on your dreams."
